Beavers
The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 5¾, and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½.
Cubs
The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 7½ and can move to Scouts between age 10 and 11.
Scouts
The Scout Troop is the third section in the Scout Group, above Beavers and Cubs. The Scout Section is for young people aged between 10½ and 14 years. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 10, and can move to Explorers between age 13½ and 14½.
Explorers
Explorer Units are the fourth Section of the Scouting family after Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14 and 18 years old. There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 13½ but cannot move to Scout Network until 18. Young people must have left the Explorer Scout section before the date of their 18th birthday.

Job Role: Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is responsible for looking after the stores and equipment that we keep in the Scout Hall and use for many of our outdoor activities. Specific responsibilities include:

Keeping the stores tidy and safe

Making sure kit is available for camps

Assisting in the picking and preparation of kit before a camp

Checking all kit is clean and in good working order when returned from a camp

Arranging for the repair or replacement of any kit as required

Ordering new kit as and when required
