Welcome to the 1st Burnmoor monthly blog where we will keep you up to date with group news and upcoming events.

We are Back!

We hope everyone has had an amazing summer and that our Vollenteers are well rested.

Scouts will be returning on the 14th of September followed by Beavers and Cubs on the 15th.

Now that we've reached the Green Covid Readiness level we'll be resuming our normal meeting times:

  • Scouts - Tuesday 7:00-9:00pm
  • Cubs - Wedensday 6:45-8:15
  • Beavers - Wedensday 5:30-6:30

We will no longer be sending out Event invites for each meeting unless there's some important details we need to communicate, we will be reverting back to the standard Program feature in OSM which can be viewed in Parent Portal.

Don't forget to update personal and contact details in Parent Portal before we return.

#Goodforyou

We've identified we need 8-10 new volunteers to help with section meetings, this may be helping run activities, preparing equipment or just making the juice.

We'll be reaching out when we return to get more adults involved, if your interested please speak to a leader, email, or message.

Please see 1stburnmoor.co.uk/join for more information.

Squirrels

Scouts have officially welcomed Squirrels to the family for 4-6yo's. Currently at 1st Burnmoor we are not planning on starting a Squirrel section as our focus over the next year will be to build up our leadership team for our existing sections. Looking into the future we will no doubt launch a Squirrel section when the group is ready.

I am sure you all would agree the last year or so has been very difficult with covid.
I would like to thank all our volunteer leaders and scouting members for some exceptional efforts to keep the group running and provide some amazing activity in such testing circumstances.
With there support and yours I’m sure we will have a great scouting packed year ahead.
