To support you in your first five months of volunteering with the Scouts we have a number of training modules for you to complete. You can complete these in any order.

Below are the E-learning modules, once complete you will be displayed a certificate, please print or take a screen shot of your certificate, do not save the web link as an alternative as this will expire once you leave the browser. You can then send or show to a training advisor who will update your training record.

Training advisors run drop in sessions at 1st Burnmoor and throughout the district, your section leader, AGSL or GSL can inform you when these sessions take place and who the training advisors are.

GDPR

The aim of this module is to provide all adults in Scouting with an understanding of what the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) means for them, their Scout Group, District and County and how to effectively align with it.

Tools for the Role

(Not required for SASU members) The aim of this module is to provide the basic information on the individual’s role or area of responsibility and some practical help to get the individual started in the role.

Validation - Once you have completed the learning you will need to validate your training with a training advisor, at this point the certificate can be shared with your training adviser and you will then have a small chat about the contents of the E-Learning.

Safety and Safeguarding are required to be renewed every three years, you will be notified when its due for renewal, or you can see your own training record in Compass.
