Welcome to the 1st Burnmoor monthly blog where we will keep you up to date with group news and upcoming events.

Return to face to face scouting

We're very excited to announce we will be returning to face to face Scouting very soon, please read through the Return to Face to Face Action Plan for more details.

volunteer

In our Risk Assessment we have recognized we will need more adult volunteers, if you thing you can help please let us know, it might be once a week, month or term. All help is greatly appreciated and vital to provide Scouting to the young people of the group.

Grounds improvements

You may have noticed there's been huge amounts of work happening within our grounds recently, this is all in preparation for the return to face to face Scouting, we're very excited to have young people running around and enjoying the space again.

If you can spare some time to help out, there's lots of jobs that can be done as and when you have time and volunteers can gain acces through a combination lock, please let us know if you can help out at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

tree Climbing

When we return we'll be able to make use of our brand new activity, tree climbing, this is an 8m climb on climbing holds that are secured to the tree. Tree Climbing is set up alongside Crate Stacking which is also brand new for our return.

This has been possible due to our fundraising teams success in getting the Magic Little Grant from Local Giving and the Postcode Community Trust.

Scouting at home

Don't forget to keep Scouting at home, you can still upload your badge progress in Parent Portal and there's lots of events happening as apart of the North East Sumer of Scouting.

Roll of Honour

We've added a Roll of Honour to the website to honour all those who have archived top awards with 1st Burnmoor. Its been a challenge to find as many awards as possible, if you know of any awards that have been missed please get in touch.

CO-OP

A huge thank you to all the Co-op members who have selected us as your chosen charity, so far it's raised nearly £2300 for the group.
