2025 has kicked off
All our sections are enjoying another fantastic year of Scouting, and what a fantastic year we have ahead! it won't be long before we are back in our home of almost 50 years, and what a birthday its going to be, 1st Burnmoor will soon have one of the best Scouting facilities in the Northeast... Country... World!!! Were so excited and weve got some amazing things planned!
2025 will be host to some fantastic camps, sleepovers, trips and so much more!

SANTA IN THE STREETS
Thank you to Santa and all his helpers who were spreading cheer in the local community before Christmas, an amazing £985.49 was raised!
HALL AND GROUNDS WORKS
The hall and grounds works are coming on a treat, everything is on track for us to return in April and there has been amazing progress in recent weeks.
The sustainable heating is up and running, the new climbing and bouldering walls are looking great and we can't wait to use our Artic Cabin.
Curently the new access ramp is going in and the cave system and bus conversion will soon follow along with a new roof on the poly tunnel and upgrades to the perimeter fence.

We've identified we need several new volunteers to help with section meetings, this may be helping run activities, preparing equipment or just making the juice.

DATES FOR THE DIARY
Currently, we have the following camps and days out which will all be bookable via the Parent Portal:
- 10th May 2025 - Cubs Pete Swinney 2025
- 23-26th of May 2025 - Whit Camp for Scouts & Cubs
- 28th June - Big Day Out (Cubs)
- 29th June - Big Day Out (Beavers)
- 16-23th of August 2025 - Summer Camp for Scouts
- 3-5th of October - Confido
As well as these events there'll also be sleepovers for all sections and other fantastic county events to look forward to.
