Welcome to the 1st Burnmoor monthly blog where we will keep you up to date with group news and upcoming events.
Return to face to face scouting
Earlier this month all sections returned to Face to Face Scouting and were delighted with how it's going. The behaviour of our young people has been tremendous and the feedback has been fantastic.
This has all been achieved by the work of our volunteers who have strived to keep on Scouting through these difficult times.
Well done to everyone involved!
Grounds improvements
You may have noticed there's been huge amounts of work happening within our grounds recently, As we return to Face to Face Scouting it's much easier to run a Covid safe meeting outdoors.
We have an amazing match funding opportunity this week through local giving, we have a £10k target to improve the accessibility and facilities within our grounds as we continue Face to Face Scouting into the winter months, with outdoor shelters, pathways and more.
For every £1 donated, it will be doubled, and don't forget gift aid too. Please spread the word and help us achieve our goal.
Pap-a-pumpkin
Don't miss Durham Scouts Pap-a-Pumpkin this Halloween, log your Pumpkin on the map and hunt out as many Pumpkins as possible this Halloween weekend.
Happy Halloween 🎃
