Grounds day
We'll be holding our next Grounds Dayone on the 5th of November between 10am-2pm.
For those who haven't been to a Grounds Day, or know what one is, it's a day when we gather as many volunteers as possible and work within the grounds, we'll have a job list that will include jobs suitable for all abilities to improve or maintain our fantastic site for our members and the community. We'll also feed you bacon sandwiches and supply the tea, coffee and juice to keep everyone going.
We ask for anyone who can spare some time to pop along and support us, you can bring along your children too; if they are a member, their help will count towards their challenge awards.
CONFIDO
Our Scouts had a fantastic weekend at Moor House with 1250 others from Durham Scouts. Well done to everyone who took part, the behaviour and attitude of all our Scouts were brilliant, a real credit to the group. A huge thank you to everyone from 1st Burnmoor and across Durham Scouts involved in putting on such a fantastic event.
Check out what our Scouts got up to:
#Goodforyou
We've identified we need several new volunteers to help with section meetings, this may be helping run activities, preparing equipment or just making the juice.
If you think you can help please see 1stburnmoor.co.uk/join for more information.

Access for all project
The development at the rear of the hall which will create extra space and better access ensuring the Scout hall is accessible to all has begun. Great progress is being made, all the main build is complete with plumbing and electrical works currently getting finished as well as access for all to the rear with access via a ramp.
This project has been a massive undertaking by those involved including raising the funds to make it happen, the efforts are a credit to the group!
