Welcome to the 1st Burnmoor monthly blog where we will keep you up to date with group news and upcoming events.

Beamish sleepover

All sections recently enjoyed a sleepover at Beamish museum, after a full day exploring the museum we enjoyed a fish and chips supper followed by walking it off with a night hike. Later we headed back to the 1950's welfare centre for some games, activities and chill time. Up bright and early for breakfast and some more adventure around the museum.

red and yellow Beavers

From January our Beaver colony will run in two half's of 18 members, this allows us to grow from 24 to 36 members. in the first discussions there was worry that we wouldn't be able to fill both sections, we talked about advertising, bring a friend badges and going into local schools, but no need, word got out and our waiting list filled up and we will launch both sections in January at full capacity, there's few spaces at Easter so let people know to join the waiting list via the button at the bottom of our website.

We've be able to make this happen with the help from 4 new adult volunteers who all started out with the 4 week challenge as apart of #BUILD, why not try the 4 week challenge yourself!
