Beavers
The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old.
Cubs
The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½.
Scouts
The Scout Troop is the third section in the Scout Group, above Beavers and Cubs. The Scout Section is for young people aged between 10½ and 14 years.
Explorers
Explorer Units are the fourth Section of the Scouting family after Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14 and 18 years old.

As a part of our safe guarding measures all our adult volunteers who support running activities with young people need to undergo a DBS check, this will be carried out by one of our volunteers and will involve a face to face ID check. None Scouting and transferable DBS's are not currently accepted by the Scouts and we would have to carry out our own, there is no cost to you or the group for this.

When you arrange to meet for your ID check you will need to bring three forms of ID from the following list:

  • Passport (any nationality)
  • Biometric residence permit (UK)
  • Current photocard driving licence
  • Adoption certificate (UK and Channel Islands)
  • Birth certificate (UK and Channel Islands)
  • Firearms licence. UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man
  • HM Forces ID card.
  • Marriage/civil partnership certificate. UK and Channel Islands
  • Cards carrying the PASS accreditation logo
  • EEA National ID card

Documents issued within the past 12 months:

  • Council Tax Statement
  • Financial Statement - e.g. pension, endowment, ISA  
  • Mortgage Statement
  • P45 Statement
  • P60 Statement

Documents issued within the past 3 months:

  • Bank or building society statement
  • Bank or building society statement
  • Electricity Bill / Statement
  • Gas Bill / Statement
  • Bank/Building Society Account Opening Confirmation Letter
  • Credit Card Statement
  • Telephone Bill / Statement (Not Mobile Telephone)
  • Water Bill / Statement
  • Benefit Statement
  • Central or local government, government agency, or local council document giving entitlement. e.g. Department for Work and Pensions, the Employment Service, HMRC.
